Helplink Support Services (HSS) provide award winning, not-for-profit social support services in Galway and nationwide.

Counselling Service:
HSS provides affordable counselling appointments face-to-face in our city centre offices and also online or by phone nationwide. Our qualified, Garda vetted counsellors are available 7 days a week from 9 am to 9 pm Monday to Friday and 12 to 6 pm Sat/Sun. 

We also provide these specialist counselling services:
  • Bereavement Counselling 
  • Hypnotherapy (smoking cessation/weight management) 
  • Couples Counselling 
  • Art Therapy 
Staff and Students of NUI Galway can avail of the discounted rate of €30 per appointment student/staff id. required.


Let's get talking Galway
Let’s Get Talking Galway is a community based counselling that provides professional Counselling Psychotherapy support to all. The service provides:
  • immediate access to psychological therapies
  • education for individuals to develop self-help strategies and positive coping skills
  • community workshops, lectures and courses
  • assistance in training for those involved in the study of counselling and psychotherapy
  • and continuous professional development programmes.
Working alongside local agencies and groups, the cornerstone of their work is continuous opposition to and the elimination of any stigma associated with mental health problems, emotional difficulties and behavioural issues.

Jigsaw
Jigsaw Galway is a free, non-judgemental and confidential support service for young people (15-25) living in Galway city and county. We provide guidance and support for young people who are going through a difficult or distressing time. We also provide advice and guidance for anyone is concerned about a young person in their life or work.

Turn2me is an online mental health community providing peer and professional support to adults experiencing any of a broad range of mental health difficulties. They provide such support through a number of services which include:

GROW's mission is to nurture mental health, personal growth, prevention and full recovery from all kinds of mental illness.

Aware
Aware works to create a society where people who experience depression and related mood disorders, and their families, are understood and supported, are free from stigma, and have access to a broad range of support options.

Nurture PND
Nurture provides affordable, professional counselling services. Their aim is to ensure each client who requires an appointment will be accommodated within a two week time frame. They work with clients battling depression in pregnancy, post natal depression, post traumatic stress disorder and post partum psychosis (in recovery stage).
